My outcome this time was A LOT more successful! I only put a tiny bit of vanilla essence in the cake mix, and left them in the just a little bit over 15 minutes, It might've been a bit too long as they deflated a bit, but became nice and crunchy on the top, and soft on the inside<3 Much better than batch 1, as they were too crunchy and were a tad crumbly...AH the butter icing was such an improvement! It actually tastes nice! And I got the knack of cutting out the wings, and this time placed them on the other side. And I saw a recipe that put jam in the middle of the wings, and oh my gosh it's super yummy!
Yep,they certainly do look delicious. And I bet that one with the sliver of jam tastes like a cream tea - which, as you know,is a favourite of mine!
ReplyDeleteMY mother, -- not sure what relationship that makes her to you -- or mine for that matter -- anyway she used to bake these all the time. Yours look delicious! I like them a little crunchy on the top and definitely with the butter icing. You're a better baker than I am.
ReplyDeleteGlad your back to blogging.
Looking yummy, when can we come around for tea?
