The new New Year’s Resolution

Do you have one? Or ideas and things you want or need to do in your life? Yes? Well why do we feel we need to create one in the first place? Is it to feel like we've accomplished something in our lives, well why not?
Why not jump out of a plane, swim with sharks or fling yourself off of a bridge? With the New Year, why not make a bucket list as well as, or instead of a new year’s resolution?
I got inspired to write a bucket list, from the film, with Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson, where they fall ill with cancer and want to fulfill their last wishes. As grim as it may sound, it's not a bad thing to do. A lot of us want to seize the day, and live in the moment, whether it's for charity, just for you, or if you're an adrenaline junkie. You can do something amazing and life lifting like skydiving, or to stay in all day and watch the extended additions of The Lord of the Rings and relax.
How to get listing
Whether it is something outgoing and outrageous, or just something you've never got round to, it'll feel good to do something for yourself and to cross it off of your list (if you like to write lists and tick things off then this will be for you.)Why not start off with five things you want to do. My list consists of; zorbing, bungee jumping, writing a book, watching the extended editions of The Lord of the Rings, and to get dressed up as a comic book hero and go to comic con. We can have a good mixture of activities where we can relax, and one’s that will be once in a lifetime opportunities.
The good thing about this is that you don’t have to accomplish all of these goals in just a year; you have your life to complete the things you want to do. You can spread them out, for example you could aim to do one of them in 2013, so get thinking and create your own bucket list!

Gangnam what now?

Why is it that foreign songs make their way into charts and become so popularized? To learn another language? Moved by the accent? Or the music video perhaps, with an intriguing storyline that infatuates us, or brilliant directing and camera shots?

Well if you haven't heard of Psy's Gangnam Style, then it's none of these. When you watch this video you'll wonder why on earth it's swept the nation. From South Korea comes the dance video that is 'Gangnam Style' which will have you on your feet and copying the moves within seconds.
Do you know what he’s saying?
Only a few lyrics are distinguishable to our ears; Gangnam Style, hey sexy ladies, baby, you know what I'm saying. The rest we can make up as we go, but one tip is "Op op op op oppan Gangnam Style" where 'op' is pronounced 'wop' whilst doing the trademark horse riding and lassoing the air. Every music video needs 'hot chicks' dancing around, and here they even join in on the humorous dance. 'Gangnam Style' translates as how people in the Gangnam district in Korea dress, or how some of them carry and call themselves 'Gangnam Style', but apparently it's only the 'posers or wannabes', and Psy himself has said that this song is to poke fun at these people.

Gangnam at weddings?
This kind of phenomenon is similar to the Macarena. Remember that? No words are legible except the song title, and have created a worldwide known dance, that is used frequently at weddings, proms and a reason to get anyone on the dance floor for a boogie. Who knows, but maybe Gangnam Style will have this capacity to entertain us for life, and we'll be doing the Gangnam Style in decades to come.

Long time no write...

Good evening my handful of followers. As per usual I am very bad at updating my blog, so much so that I still have not written about my Skydive on here. And that was nearly two months away. Woops. I have recently submitted some work to the local magazine that published my review/interviews of the Southsea Fest 2012 on their website; Mayhem Magazine, and decided to show what I have done on here to see the response. Bon appetite!
