Guess what! I have had four completely sin free days, no chocolate and no cakes! I am so proud of myself as there's a packet of milk chocolate biccies AND two packets of jaffa cakes...and I have withstood eating the lot.
Today I did a wee bit of shopping (I had to buy a sketchbook for my photography summer h/w) so popped into town and had a gander around some clothes shops and was looking at make-up, I went into New Look and saw this dress I had been dreaming about! I would look at it nearly everyday on my laptop, and nearly went to tears when it said it was 'out of stock'. Boo. But there it was three in the size 'small'. I made the leap of trying on a small (as fortunately I seem to slip into smaller sizes yay!) and I were going to treat myself to this £20 dress if it fits and looks good. Here's the dress;
Now, it looks so pretty onscreen and on a hanger, however, what it doesn't show that it's basically see through. Yeah. I only noticed when I were trying it on and noticed my bright pink knickers glowing through. A big negative. Around the middle (under the breasts) it's elasticated so emphasises your hips. Now, I already have enough hip on display so I looked a bit like a hippo. In total I hate this dress on my figure. It looked absolutely fine on my top half, but a disaster down below.
But this dress wont terrify me to my very core to get rid of my womanliness, so I told the staff member 'it was NO good' and walked out with my head high. Here's my food intake;
As you can see quite healthy! My exercise today has been walking around town for about an hour and a half, whilst my shoes were eating away my heels. That was very pleasant.

That dress is very pretty - wish I could wear it!
ReplyDeleteNot sure it would look good on me. I am trying hard to keep the intake down, but no matter how hard I try the cookies keep calling out to me. I know that keeping slim is a fashion thing, but you don't seem to be doing badly size wise.
ReplyDeleteInches? Sorry, I grew up in an imperial age, not metric, an inch is 2.4cm. Old habits and all that. The old measurements rhyme, 'pinch an inch'. Not quite the same, 'pinch 2.4 cm...' oh well maybe someone could come up with a new rhyme :{
Well Kay I can't even wear it haha! No I don't think this type of dress would suit you Pete...I know i'm not hideously huge or too skinny, so I try not to worry but then there's a really pretty item of clothing but I can't wear it as I'm a normal body size, and it's see-through. I do not want everyone being able to see my underwear thank you very much! Golly gosh at designers these days!
