Hmm so favourite songs are usually tricky for me, because I love sooo many! But i'll give it a go;
1. Goo Goo Dolls-Iris-This is on my list for when i'm sad and missing the boyf, or just sad in general I feel like the lyric 'and i don't want the world to see me, cause i don't think that they'd understand' relates to how i feel at that moment, and i personally like to scream it out loud. I have an old friend to thank for this song, as it was his favourite song and apparently it's contagious!

2. You Me At Six-Always Attract-This became one of my favourite songs many years ago, well roughly two years ago. And it's mine and the other halves 'song' sure some of the lyrics aren't exactly positive, but the lyrics like 'i'll be home in a day' and 'if it hurts this much, then it must be love' relate to how i feel when i'm away from Connor, so i have him and a few friends to thank for this song being in my list.

3. Biffy Clyro-Many of Horror-Unfortunately i came across this as Matt Cardle sang it for his 'winners single' on The X Factor, but shortly after i heard the original version and loved it. The first bit i picked up on was the chorus 'when we collide we come together, if we don't we'll always be apart' and i sing it with the utter most enthusiasm, i sing it like i just don't care, and i love songs that make me feel like that, because we as people care far too much. When i listen to it, i'm in silence and i just listen, because he has a pretty good voice too. So i recommend learning the chorus and just belting it out of those lungs.

4. Elton John-Can you feel the love tonight-Now one of my all time favourite films is The Lion King, i used to watch it over and over as a child, so much so that apparently when i was only just crawling i learnt how to put in the video tape and would push my Granny's hands out of the way. I can't explain why it's my fave film, but along with the film are some songs i like, like this one. My dad tells me stories from when i was a young 'un, and one time it was his turn to feed me in the night, and he was trying to get me to sleep again so put on the music channel whilst cradling me, and this music video came on, and apparently i was fixated on the video. So this song on my list represents the relationship between me and my dad.

5. Daft Punk-Digital Love-This is a love of about ten decades, me and this song, i used to have this DVD of top songs from 2000..and something, and i love how they have the animation in the video, i love how each video tells a story and how they're connected. When i hear the song i think of the video in my head. I just love the tune it has, and obviously there's synthesizers in the vocals, but it does make it sound good so why not? I can happily say that i will keep singing this song for another decade.

I do have many other songs that i love, but i thought i'd give you a peek at my all time favourites as i'm sure they'll stay with me until i die!
Always hard to find favourites, I have problems because like you I like lots and I also find music faves come and go as I hear new ones. However, there are some that never go away, like Drive by the Cars or Paint it Black by the Stones and there are many more. If you have heard of these songs I will be impressed.
